Tips & Advice:
Sowing Indoors
Level fill a module tray with seed compost firming with the base of another tray. Water well with a fine rose. Sow seeds with 1cm compost. Place in a propagator at 18-20°C or cover tray with cling fillm and leave in a warm room. Keep moist.
Growing On
When shoots appear, remove cling fillm. Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. Grow on in a minimum temperature of 15°C.
Planting Out
Gradually accustom plants to outdoor conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out in the border or 3 plants per 30cm patio container when risk of frost has passed. Water and feed well to promote fruiting.
Advice
Best grown in a sunny site. Berries are ripe when orange/red in colour. Do not eat the 'lantern' or any other part of the plant. Can also be used as a cut flower.
